Premium Supplier of high-strength trailer bottom U-bolt clamps and tie plates. Grade 5/8 carbon steel with Hot-Dip Galvanized & Dacromet finishes for maximum corrosion resistance. Ideal for boat, utility, and RV trailers. OEM/ODM available. IATF 16949 Certified.
The Heavy Duty Trailer Bottom U-Bolt Clamp Assembly is a critical safety component in trailer leaf spring suspension systems. It is engineered to firmly anchor the trailer axle (either round or square tube) to the leaf spring pack, ensuring structural integrity, proper axle alignment, and superior stability under heavy loads and harsh road conditions.
As a leading suspension hardware supplier, we supply complete U-bolt tie-down kits including high-tensile U-bolts, heavy-duty bottom tie plates, deep hi-nuts, and hardened washers. Manufactured to strict SAE and international towing standards, our kits deliver exceptional tensile strength and fatigue resistance for global commercial markets.
Forged from high-grade medium carbon steel (e.g., C45) or alloy steel (e.g., 40Cr), available in SAE Grade 5 (Class 8.8) and Grade 8 (Class 10.9) to prevent deformation or shearing under sudden impacts.
To withstand marine environments and road salt, we offer Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG), Dacromet, and Black E-coating, passing up to 500–1000 hours of continuous salt spray testing.
Threads are formed via precision cold rolling, which preserves steel grain continuity, ensures smooth torque delivery, and prevents stripping when paired with heavy-duty nuts.
Available in Round, Square, and Semi-Round geometries, perfectly fitting standard trailer axles ranging from 2,000 lbs up to 7,000+ lbs capacity (2" to 4" axle diameters).

Our state-of-the-art facility features automated chassis hardware production lines utilizing the following process:
Material Inspection: Every batch of raw steel bar stock undergoes strict chemical composition and tensile testing.
Precision Cutting & Heading: Steel rods are precisely cut to length.
Cold Thread Rolling: Utilizing high-speed thread-rolling machines to achieve precise 2A/6g thread tolerances.
CNC Bending: Cold or hot formed via CNC bending dies to guarantee strict dimension control on inside width and pitch.
Quenching & Tempering (Q&T): Through-hole heat treatment alters the crystalline structure, dramatically increasing the yield strength and fatigue life.
Stamping (Tie Plates): Heavy-gauge structural steel plates are punched, laser-cut, and deburred.
Surface Coating: Executed in custom plating lines (HDG, Dacromet, or Zinc plating) per client specification.
Final Inspection & Packing: Go/No-go thread gauge checks, hardness testing, and anti-rust packaging.
Engineered for ultimate reliability, our bottom U-bolt clamps are widely integrated into:
Commercial Cargo & Utility Trailers
Agricultural Equipment & Construction Haulers
Boat & Marine Trailers (Highly recommend HDG or Stainless Steel options)
RV, Travel Trailers & Overland Camper Suspensions
To save sourcing time for buyers, we provide pre-packaged All-in-One Kits containing:
Leaf Spring Tie Plate (Bottom Plate): Heavy-gauge stamped steel plates (Thickness: 1/4" to 3/8") with standardized hole configurations for swift installation.
Deep Hi-Nuts: Tall nuts featuring deep thread engagement to handle high torque specifications and resist loosening caused by vibration.
Hardened Flat Washers: Extra-thick washers designed to distribute the clamping load evenly and prevent plate marring.
When submitting a Request for Quote (RFQ) or placing a bulk wholesale order, volume buyers should specify the following parameters:
| Inside Width (A): | Must match the outer diameter of your round axle or the width of your square axle. |
| Inside Length (B): Calculate carefully: | Axle Diameter/Height + Leaf Spring Stack Height + Tie Plate Thickness + Nut/Washer Height + 1/4" to 1/2" thread clearance. |
| Thread Pitch/Diameter (C): | Common North American standards include 1/2"-20 UNF, 9/16"-18 UNF, and 5/8"-18 UNF. Metric equivalents available (M12, M14, M16). |
Explicitly clarify if your axle configuration is Round or Square.
Align the hardware grade with your trailer axle rating (e.g., 3.5K, 5.2K, or 7K axles require Grade 5 or Grade 8 high-tensile hardware).
For standard dry cargo trailers: Zinc Plated or Black Oxide is highly cost-effective.
For coastal or marine boat trailers: Hot-Dip Galvanized (HDG) or Stainless Steel 304/316 is mandatory to avoid catastrophic rust failure.
Advise if your custom program requires IATF 16949 certification, Mill Test Reports (MTR), or custom B2B retail packaging (barcoded box or polybags).
